Why we're pausing our work

2023 is shaping up to be one of huge transformation and impact for our team. After some tough kōrero with our wonderful clients, we are both excited and saddened to let you know that we will be pausing Ngātahi mahi from the end of March as our Kaiwhakahaere Whakapā embarks on a new direction.

From April, Hannah will be working as General Manager Communications, Engagement and Impact with a whānau and iwi-owned construction sector business, with a focus on social housing and enhancing environments for communities across Aotearoa. When approached about the role, Hannah couldn't say no. It is a rare values-aligned opportunity for her to solidify her influence as a socio-cultural impact leader by actively weaving te ao Māori values, inclusive communication strategies and impact models into the framework of a national business. Hannah will also continue in her role as an inclusive communication lecturer at University of Canterbury.

This is likely not the last you'll see of Ngātahi and Hannah may take on limited consulting or speaking gigs later in the year, focused on inclusive communication. Keep in the loop via Hannah’s LinkedIn.

Meanwhile, our Kairuruku Whakapā Kayleigh is also setting off on a new journey with her new husband to Nelson where she will continue to study her communication degree full-time. She's also secured a part-time role with a favourite Ngātahi client in the health and disability sector. We are so excited to see where her next steps take her. Kayleigh: you're a star!

It's been an incredible almost 7 years as a business and we are so proud of everything we have achieved in partnership with our clients and communities. The mahi we have been privileged to work on will stay with us in our hearts always.

This is not goodbye, but kā kite anō.

Arohanui e te whānau Ngātahi.
